The main object for which the body is established is the promotion of Evangelical Christianity in Ireland and world-wide through sharing our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.
(a) To win others for the Lord Jesus Christ through the association of Christian business and professional men for service, the personal testimony and personal work by individual Gideons:
(b) To place the Bible or portions thereof in hotels, educational establishments, hospitals, institutions, prisons, fire stations, Garda stations, doctors’ surgeries, dentists’ surgeries, solicitors offices and other locations and through the distribution of same for personal use.
(c) The organization and running of meetings, banquets and conferences.
(d) To distribute the Bible or portions thereof, whether in book form or some other format, to groups or individuals and to speak at church services and other meetings.
(e) To provide financial and other practical assistance for individuals or bodies involved in Christian work throughout Ireland and elsewhere.

Speaking in churches and other meetings;
